Mikel Álvarez (NOVAK) has shared his opinion on the master's degree.
Why did you welcome two Master's students?
‘Participation in the master's degree has been key to making progress in the digitisation of our company’.
Unlearning, the key to change:
‘NOVAK, a precision machining company, has so far been in the first steps of digitalisation, in line with the change of culture, way of working and business systematics. Therefore, we believe it is important to work with young people with an external vision in order to undo the habits acquired over the years and to make the changes in a simpler way. In other words, to learn to ‘unlearn’.
Is the experience worthwhile?
‘Yes, we recommend other companies to participate in the Master's programme. Many of the companies that are in this field are at the beginning, as our company was, and it is an excellent opportunity to manage these changes well. ’
If your company is in a similar situation to NOVAK's, there is still time to welcome the students of this year's new edition. The students are specialised in the area of Industry 4.0 and for 2 years they will develop projects in companies, combining theoretical and practical training of about 2,000 hours.

Thank you, Mikel, for sharing your opinion and your experience!
